Ah, here we go…
I reverted the settings above… then in the kit, assigned the note (26) that was playing Open Edge 3
well.. I kinda got it. I made this change in settings, but this is now affecting all kits… I want to have this to be kit specific..
Thx, Damian– I was just reading about the “Punch Exciter 180” and wondering how that related to your comment of Bitcrushing… I hadn’t noticed the separate routing.
I’m very new to SD, and relatively novice to this signal routing.. so learning as I go…
For others that may run into the same question.. here’s a visual:

Thanked by: Damian BluntHere’s another thread of someone complaining of the same problem w/ the same preset:
Hmmm.. I wonder if this effect is designed/ expected… I seemingly had the bad luck of picking a preset that has this issue… others don’t readily exhibit it.
I was the ‘Broken Ayotte’ preset… I noticed if I mute, or just reduce the level, of the “Amb Ribbon” track, the offending sound goes away.
Hi @Ken S, thanks for the consideration– I’m on a Mac… I tried all buffer rates from 64 to 2048 and the issue persists. I also tried changing my sample rate from 48k to 44.1k, and still have the issue. This happens regardless of what I am using as my output device: Scarlett 18i20, MacBook speakers, TD-50X, etc…
I have the same issue when playing SD3 in Standalone Mode.
Here’s another file created from an ‘out of the box’ groove, bounced from directly in SD3:
