Modulation (CC 1) This envelope controls vibrato. This is the message typically sent from the modulation wheel on a MIDI keyboard.
Sustain (CC 64) Used to let notes ring. This is an on/off switch and is typically the first pedal input on a MIDI keyboard. 0-63 means off and 64-127 means that the pedal is held down.
Soft/Damping (CC 67) On a regular keyboard this control is an on/off switch applying a fixed effect on notes played when it is held. While EZbass works with such a pedal, it listens to the full range, not just on or off. Using an expression pedal or assigning CC 67 to a fader or dial allows you to apply damping better to your liking.
Thanks alot, I’ll try it later. Where did you get this info? I want this version of manual too. EZBASS KEY SWITCH LAYOUT – thanks!

It’s in the “Help” menu drop down in EZBass.
Theliraan, there are a number of articulations that use key switches, I suspect that will be what you are looking for (EZBass Help > EZBASS KEY SWITCH LAYOUT).

Thanked by: Alexander LazarevHi Gaz-P
I’m running EZBass OK on my 15″ Windows laptop using Studio One 4. I usually use the 70% setting and sometimes also use the drag point (lower right corner) to extend the width. It cover a good portion of the screen but I am still able to get to S1 controls OK.
I remember it wasn’t straightforward to set up in the 1st place so have just tried resizing it to see if I could get back to this setting. From the ‘View’ drop down menu I initially selected ‘Reset to default’ and then I selected the 70% setting and was able to see all the EZB screen on my laptop OK. Hope this might help, good luck.
Don
Stephen, not sure what DAW you might be using, can’t you filter the mod wheel out?
Hi, finger positioning is not functionality that EZB offers unfortunately, it will simply switch strings. There have a been a number of requests for it if you want to have a scan through the forum to see the discussions and TT feedback.
Not sure why your CPU usage might be so high, I use EZB on 2X different laptops (i5 & i7) without significant issue. Might be worth posting your specs so the TT guys can offer some advice?

Thanked by: Alexander Lazarev and christine JaeggiI’m not sure which version of S1 you are running but I have just had a similar issue with S1 4.6 not showing a different VST (Slate Drums). I’ve been running S1 for years and never saw this issue before & tried everything I could to get it working but with no luck. Eventually deleted and reinstalled S1 and bingo! It may not be your issue but might be worth trying? Good luck!
Worth having a look at these?

Thanked by: AndrewEarwig you could probably record the damping changes into EZB but I think it might be best achieved using your DAW so you can control the CC value accurately and also edit the result.
Hi summerdancepro, I’ve only experimented with Damping from the DAW, I used CC67 (I think I took that from the manual?).

Thanked by: summerdanceproI don’t know Cakewalk but surely EZbass dll would show in a different bin to Audio Sender e.g. instruments, it wouldn’t be considered an audio FX. In Studio One those 2 dlls certainly show in different places e.g EZbass dll shows in instruments & Audio sender.dll in FX.
Aren’t they presets for the 2 different basses? i.e. the 1st list is for Modern & the DAW set is for Vintage

Thanked by: RolomotoHi, there are a number of other threads here requesting help due to “unable to drag and drop MIDI files from “, basically it really depends on the DAW being used as to whether it will work. You might want to have a look to see the various responses from users & tech support.
I have this same issue with Studio One & find the best way to deal with it is use drag & drop of a midi file from outside of the DAW, in my case (PC) from Windows Explorer. Also, you can drag & drop grooves directly from the Song Track area of EZDrummer into EZBass if you use Song Track functionality in EZD.
PS current version of EZBass is v1.0.5
… from a different Don!
Hi Luke
There are no extended chords currently, an earlier post discussed this and the answer from support was: “The chord selector can only have basic Major or Minor chords chords.” https://www.toontrack.com/forums/topic/special-chords-how-do-i-put-them/
They have also added it to their feature requests.
