Wow, how’d you get it to open? Just curious if there’s something easy I could do to the file.
Brad — here’s a link, have at it

It’s view only, the only option it gabe me, but hopefully it works.
Olof — you seem to correct, thanks. I’ve successfully reinstalled SD3 2.3.1 and all of the full libraries along with my SDXs and it will open and looks fully operational now. But when I try to open two projects I get the same error and it crashes. I can slowly try and rebuild those project, sigh. I can send the the most difficult project in case you or someone wants to poke around and see what the source of the error. It’s 9MB, too big to attach apparently. But I’m way out of my depth. If you see an easy fix, that’ll likely save me a few days. Just let me know how to send it.
It is puzzling: I thought SD3 auto loaded in an empty default project? At least mine was and then I needed to select the project to work on. So not sure why I couldn’t even open SD3 even if a project caused the error. And I didn’t have both projects open, not even sure I had either one open, when the error happened. Anyway, if there is something I should bear in mind so as not to have this issue again, please let me know.
Thanks!

Okay, I got SD3 3.2.1 & basic sound library to reinstall and open without an error, so hopefully it’s clear sailing from here. Looks like it wasn’t a clean uninstall of LoR SDX, that’s my sense from what the Apple support tech said anyway. In case it helps anyone else who gets a similar error, below are the Apple system files I deleted manually, no idea which one was causing the problem:
Superior Drummer 3.component
Superior Drummer 3.aaxplugin
Superior Drummer 3.vst
com.toontrack.superior3.plist
If I run into more problems I’ll let you know — thanks, Brad, for chiming in with ideas! Fingers crossed . . .
Brad — I had the same idea, but when I tried to do this it wouldn’t allow me to install. It pulled up a “custom install” window and when I clicked “standard install” the install button never was live so I couldn’t click it. Weird, I’m hoping that’s an unrelated issue, but if you or others know how to work around that let me know. I posted on the Apple support forum and they said it’s a software issue, perhaps it wasn’t a clean uninstall of the LoR SDX and that screwed something up. I’m now combing through all the Apple systems files and manually deleting anything with SD in it. Tedious but not sure what my other options are. If you or others have ideas, I’m all ears!

Brad – not a dumb question at all, I did multiple reboots throughout and still got the error. I’m on my third attempt at reinstalling, no luck still same problem and error. Any ideas? Other softwares installed seem to working fine, Logic Pro X gave me an initial error because it was trying load SD3 plug in. But other than that it’s fine.

I’m having the same issue, I just downloaded and installed the new Legacy SDX and got this error, any advice? I hope I don’t have to reinstall all of SD3 and all the other SDXs I have… Thanks
