I ended up purchasing a Midi controller app that was on the higher end, and well reviewed. One that would let me assign CC’s and make them momentary vs. toggle, etc. It’s a useful tool for other devices in my studio as well. Anyway, it works great now! Thanks for pointing me in the right direction! I can record Midi tracks into EZDrummer 2 from my E-Drums without leaving the throne. It would be nice to be able to use the learn midi function to turn the click on and off, but for now this works how I want it to.

Hi John,

I’m also using a free Midi Controller. Thought I would try before I buy. I wonder if I should get an app that may have better assignable functionality.

The button for “record” is sending:

Note On=B 6 Vel=127 Ch=1
Note On=B 6 Vel=0 Ch=1

The “play” button sends:

Note On=A#6 Vel=127 Ch=1
Note On=A#6 Vel=0 Ch=1

The “stop” button sends:

Note On=A 6 Vel=127 Ch=1
Note On=A 6 Vel=0 Ch=1
