Thanks, that’s very useful to know.

You telling me it’s still the best in the business should help my decision.

unfortunately, I was surprised to hear a friend of mine was unable to cross grade from  SD2 to Sd3. I’m not only concerned I will have the same problem when a future version of SD comes out but potentially with EZ keys too if I get it now.

With regards to Ez keys, is it similar or would you use it in conjunction with something like unison midi chord pack.

Again, I’m new to this and haven’t figured out what all these products do exactly.

    Thanks Olof, that worked!

Hi Dave one you’ve had a chance to dig into it I’d love to know how many chord tones the MIDI hits in the grooves – a comment / question on the forum earlier asked about other chord types apart from major and minor like Dom 7th, m7b5 etc. and I wondered if your progressions in the Jazz MIDI made use of 3rd, 5th and 7ths more than the Blues and Rock MIDI.

    Have fun with it.

James,I’m a pro drummer but pretty new to bass/guitar and as an EZ bass user.

when I load the grooves I can only see major and minor chords. Is that what you wanted me to check and how?

If that’s correct, isn’t this a bit odd?

I use SD3 and EZ bass for my drum teaching business but also as a guitar and bass student.

it would be useful and obvious to expect all types of chords to be displayed.

I’m considering getting EZ keys too. Is that also an issue with that software?

I have to admit, as I’m not very experienced with the software and only starting to get into jazz chords on guitar, I’m not sure what the implications are.

    Would appreciate your views.

    Thanks

    Thanks for your reply.

I clearly need to research the future sound instruments..

I am inputting the notes manually as opposed to with a keyboard.

Got 12 semiquavers in which play fine on the shake hit immediate track.

Still unclear to me why I can’t slot the remaining 4 (All on the Es / second partial)
