SD3’s Tracker can work with full mixes, but expectations need to be realistic. It’s best at detecting clear drum transients, especially kick and snare, when they aren’t heavily masked by bass or dense instrumentation. If the song has loud bass, guitars, or strings sitting in the same frequency range, accuracy will drop and you’ll need to do manual cleanup. Hi-hats and ghost notes are usually the hardest to extract cleanly. Think of Tracker as a fast starting point rather than a one-click solution. It can save time, but you should expect to spend some time correcting hits, adjusting velocities, and filtering out false triggers.
