It sounds like a very similar situation to mine, despite the difference in software. Unfortunately, I can’t recall what my fix was, but I no longer have the issue. Once it was fixed, I just recorded new takes, so I also don’t have a recommendation for fixing your recorded material.  I recommend experimenting with the following:

    • Turn down pad sensitivity on your drum module
    • Turn off local sounds on your drum module
    • Ensure you aren’t recording in both EZD and DAW at the same time

I feel like some combination of these took care of it for me. Hope they help!

    That’s good to know.

It looks like Logic Pro X does have a function to delete doubled midi events. They’d have to be at the same time position, so I’d need to quantize notes 100%, run the function, then apply randomization to make it sound human. I’ve been recording midi solely into SD3 (not into Logic) so that’d involve a bit of a workflow modification.

I agree that the ideal situation would be to stop the notes from being recorded in the first place.

When I get home, I’ll probably try to turn down my pad sensitivity on my kit and see if that changes anything.

Yes, local is turned off on the drum module.

Aw, maan. But that thing’s 50 pages long! I’ll never make it! haha

    Probably an excellent suggestion. Thanks.
