Hi Daron, I’m attaching a picture of a song track midi block.

Hi Daron, thanks for the crash log!

We have fixed the issue now, and it will be released on the next update of EZdrummer 3.

In the meantime, to avoid crashes make sure that the last resize of a song track midi block you did was done without any modifier key. For example, drag resize the right or left side of a midi block a with only the mouse, no keyboard. You can resize the block back afterwards.

It’s the combination of alt+drag the right side of a midi block, and then dragging from the browser that was triggering the crash.

Hi Daron, did you get a dialog about a crash dump? If so could you upload that crash dump here?

    Hi John & Brad,

I have a ticket with Presonus.  If we’re lucky, they’ll know what’s causing the problem.  I’m optimistic but on the other hand, this problem doesn’t happen with EZkeys1 64Bit.

The ProgramData folder doesn’t look too bad – to me, that is. I’m attaching a pic of it.

I’ve deleted a bunch of songs hoping it was just a corrupted song file in Studio One but the problem is still there.

I’ll see if I can post on a Studio One forum somewhere too.

    Thanks,

    Paul

Hi Paul, could you try and delete all files ending with .mid and .midezkeys2trackinfo in that folder and see if the problem goes away?

Hear is an EZK1    file  . When I move this to EZK2  there are at least 4 chords blank .1 at bar  8   and 3 blank at bar 9 .

Thanks for the help! The problems in your project has been fixed for the 2.0.1 release.

I am having the same issue.  This was never a problem in SD2 when you could save a project.  I am using Hitmaker and load the TD50x preset.  I go through and remap my toms via the learn function.  Everything plays fine and then I do a “Save As”.  When I load that file, all my work is lost.  This is definitely a bug.  Are you guys going to fix this because all of us are having the same issue.  I have been with Superior for over a decade and never had these headaches.  Maybe stop releasing SDXs and fix your core code.  I wont’ buy another SDX (and I have bought most of them) until this is fixed.

Hi csnow, have you checked that you’re doing all your editing and saving in “MIDI In/E-drums Settings”? Any other edits are kit specific and won’t transfer to your next kit/project.

Ah, I see. So what you do is that you re-map the drums in the “MIDI Mapping” box on the right side of the drums. Then you go to “MIDI In/E-drums Settings” and try and save the mapping as a preset?

    Exactly.

And the way you asked that made me think I was doing something wrong. So I went to the “MIDI In/E-drums Settings” window, mapped some articulations selecting them in the right side of that window, saved that, and that works.

I don’t know why I thought it had to work the way I did it before, and didn’t try this sooner. But at least I’m glad it works!!!

    Thanks!

    All is great then, cheers!

I still have this problem with SD3 version 3.3.4.

    Anyone found a workaround?

Sad to hear that. Could you tell us more about what is not working? Which drum and notes on what SDX/EZX and e-drums?

I don’t use it on e-drums. I use it to program drums on Cubase, but I like to edit the map so that I can use my custom articulation settings.

I’ve tried it on Death & Darkness and Area 33 SDXs (haven’t tried in default library yet).

And when I load the midi map I made, I doesn’t change any note. All stay the same.

I also tried saving as default the drum preset in which I made the midi preset, so that I can “load from default” in the mapping window, but doesn’t work either.

And I tried on 2 computers, one with windows 10 and the other one with windows 11, same results on both.

Could you upload that midimap/e-drum preset here, so I can have a look at it?

I couldn’t upload the file (it said file type not allowed), so I uploaded it to my dropbox. Here’s the link:

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/47rur59idxfz32b/Area%2033%20MidiMap?dl=0

That map did indeed not contain any re-mapped notes.

Could you give an example of what drums you try and map to what note?

Hey guys! The issue with e-drum mapping getting lost on drums that are added as extra drums or re-mapped drums is fixed now and will be available in the next release of Superior Drummer 3.
