    BEST ANSWER

    Hi all,

thanks to Johns hint with the MIDI loop, I found the issue. For future reference, here is what helped:

I changed the MIDI Device in EZKeys from “Focusrite USB MIDI”, which is the Scarlett, to SLMIXUSB, which is the “SL Mixface”. That fixed the issue for me.

I’m not sure why this is, however. Even though they where never active at the same time, the EZKeys standalone player also reacted to the Mixface’s MIDI.

Thanks John for your help and I hope this will help someone else in the future.

    Regards,
    Chris

    Hi John,

I am using an Studiolgic SL 88 Grand with the SL Mixface connected to it via usb. The SL 88 Grand is then MIDI Out (1) is then connected to the MIDI In of my Focusrite Scarlett 2i4 and that’s it.

    Regards,
    Chris

Further information: I tried to record myself to illustrate the issue better and thereby found out that this does only happen when playing notes but NOT when playing back the recorded midi information. Still it only happens in the standalone player.
