I can’t help you with your use of EZDrummer2 with Ableton Live 9 Suite and Renoise 3.0. I have no experience with either of them.
You should make sure that you are familiar with how to operate Virtual Instruments in them.
Many issues that I see here on the forum originate with moving or copying the EZDrummer.dll file to other locations on the PC
rather than pointing the host application/DAW to the dll’s installed default location.

That Solo does not recognize EZDrummer as an available drummer suggests an installation issue.
(PS. You shouldn’t need to run EZDrummer2 in Solo. It runs as a completely standalone program or within a host/DAW as a plugin.)
I would suggest that you uninstall EZDrummer2.
Then search for and delete any and all EZDrummer.dll files remaining after uninstalling.
Run the 2.0.2 base installation and the 2.1.1 update appropriate for the OS and DAW you are using (32-bit or 64-bit).
Then BEFORE doing anything else, open the EZDrummer2 standalone and authorize (if necessary).
Once authorized in standalone, you shouldn’t need to authorize it again on this PC.

    THANK YOU so much!

    Hello???

Toontrack took my money and won’t respond to me…it’s been a week since I contacted them.

Pretty annoying that I keep getting asked to authorize software I’ve already bought….

I’m also having to re-authorize EZ Drummer 2 upon downloading a new version of my main daw, Renoise. Neither online nor offline authorization works. This is such a headache! I just want to program some drums….

    I have this same problem;

except I’m trying to use EZ Drummer in a 2nd DAW other than the one I initially authorized it in and both offline and online authorization have failed.

I just installed the newest version yesterday and I’m having this same problem. Please look into my other post:

I authorized EZ Drummer 2 in my main DAW (Renoise), however

upon trying to open EZ Drummer 2 in Ableton live it asked me to authorize again. Upon trying to log in and authorize it in the 2nd DAW (which I shouldn’t have to do anyways) it says “Authorization failed. Contact Support”. I tried the offline authorization and it said “wrong file?” I tried downloading a new authorization file…that didnt work either.

I’ve read through the FAQ and a lot of the forums…it says to authorize it in the hardware state that you intend to use it…which I have done. That doesn’t work either.

I tried opening and authorizing EZ Drummer 2 in Toontrack Solo but it EZ Drummer 2 doesn’t appear on the list of “add drummer”!!!!

    Help me please,
    Norman Radtke.

I have literally tried everything I can think of reading this entire site and have exhausted my options. Help me please.
