It will be fine, then say for several full seconds, I get nothing, then it comes back choppy. I don’t believe it’s the same rate, but either the buffer or my processor. I THINK my anti virus software may have run and caused it, but am not sure yet. I did a bunch of maintenance on my computer last night and have to try it again.  The computer is old too, Thinkpad x201 with a first gen i5, ssd, and 8gb of ram. I am very new to all of this midi stuff, so just learning as I go.

 

Maybe there is a menu on my computer that would show me me memory and processer power being used that might help?  I know I’ve seen it before.

 

Thanks for the replies too. I didn’t expect to receive anything so quickly and appreciate it. I’m playing out tomorrow night, but don’t think I’ll have this sorted well enough to run it live by then.

There are also some midi settings on the Roland, like Local Control on/off, and USB midi through on/off, that I’m not sure have an impact on any of this.

Ok. So when I use the interface, I have to connect that to the laptop via USB as well, then go from interface out to the amp. The Roland goes straight to the computer still, for the pad mapping. Does that make sense?

Seem to have more issues using the interface than just headphones, which is why I was trying to bypass that, but I don’t know if it’s my processor or buffer setting. I e been playing with the different options but haven’t narrowed it down yet.
