Not sure if this is what you’re trying to do. Tutorials how to import drum tracks.

Same here, haven’t noticed that icon before.. It’s tiny on a 1920×1080 screen. It must be like clicking on a single pixel on a 4K monitor.

I have and enjoy using SD3, EZD3 and EZB. Here are some feature that would really help my workflow:

-Ability to play and synch EZBass with SD or EZD both in stand alone w/out a DAW open.

-Ability to use MIDI controller to control looping of track parts.

-Ability to import EZD files into SD.

    -Include Bandmate

-Ability to stop very last drum hit  I.e. Crash, in a song from being cut off when bounced or audio export.

-Ability to play an audio track while editing MIDI patterns.

*Most of all, a button to engage and disengage the ability to move all the track patterns to the right when inserting a a pattern in the middle of a song. Like in Notepad, where you can just insert a letter and the rest of the line moves to the left.

I use Vegas Pro video editing software and the concept is exactly like this:

Keep up the great work and kindest regards.

    Thanks for the replies.

Yes, John you are spot on I was trying to open the .ezd3p in SD3.

Fortunately the EZD3 files only has patterns.

Was going to do the rest of the editing in SD3 & Cubase 15 using different SDX kits so maybe I can export the EZD MIDI and import to SD3.

Not sure why SD3 doesn’t just have a selection to open a project from *.ezd3p to *.sd3p or import the MIDI from EZD??

Thanks again for all the assistance.

    Mahalo and kindest regards,

I have SD3 but have purchased only 1 SDX (NY Studios Vol 1)

Unless you are a producer EZX will do just fine for much less $$.

SDX has more velocities and articulation variations, more kit pieces and mic, room tracks.

SDX Are 24 bit instead of EZX 16 bit. (Difference which can’t be heard in a mix)

SDX are huge and take up a LOT of HD space.

    Hi Mark,

I also use Cubase 14 and true, it doesn’t have an “auto Ripple” but in addition to nudging, you can use Shift and double click on an event which selects all events to the end and move all of them. (:

Brad, Thanks for the tip!  Ctrl, Enter works on PC to play from start.

For those and the SD programmers who don’t know what auto-ripple is it’s a feature that is in all DAWs and video editors that automatically moves everything to the left of the time line left or right as grooves are added, deleted, lengthened or shortened.

Can’t believe a $400 program as advanced as SD3 can’t even have a simple feature as this.

I use Vegas Pro and auto ripple’s been around over 10 years long before SD3.  ((:

Superior Drummer appears to be a dead product.

    No upgrades since 2017?

Toontrack is only upgrading lower end EZ series.

I purchased EZD 3 for the bandmate feature.

I use EZD 3 more on my portable laptop because my laptop ran out of disk space so could not load the SD packs.

EZD 3 is much smaller and does a great job just getting grooves and rhythms and the song creator is identical to SD3.

Hi Jord, Thanks for the reply.

I do not understand. How to dragging a groove part into an existing groove.

I don’t have any existing grooves just the grooves that come up in the Show Results. The results all have shaker next to them. Confused how the shaker works with tap to find and get the MIDI shaker to play.

    Kind Regards!

    Byron.

    Thanks for the suggestions!

@Jordan, I can get a decent drum groove from the EZ Bass midi but how can I get SD3 and EZ Bass to play back Bass and Drums at the same time?

When both of them are open only EZ Bass or SD3 can play.

    Thanks again for your assistance!
