Can you upload your project here to the forums so we can see if we experience the same problem?

I would like to hear more success stories on Ventura if SD3 is working without issues.

You can disable the curve manually which is just to the left of the CC4 information.

My guess is you have hit variation and to use adjacent layers enabled on the hi- hat instrument?

Are you using the Toontrack Product Manager? It’s the only way I recommend installing all products!

Yes! One of the user’s requests finally got released. Thank you Toontrack!!!!

Are you using a DAW or just the standalone SD3 application? If using a DAW set all the SD3 outputs to individual tracks on your DAW and export/bounce/render from the DAW. Otherwise, I agree it’s a missed feature as I have not found an easier way other than what you have already found.

Thanked by: zboyleI use VNC Viewer to connect my windows machine to my Mac Mini (runs VNC Server) where I then use Logic & SD3 and it’s flawless; even with dual monitor support!

Thanks John, that fixed the duplicates. Any idea what would make my custom preset act like it’s still loading in the background? From my initial screenshot showing “5207 MB” it is now at “5208 MB”

Did he send you a .sd3p project file or a .mid file that you imported into Superior Drummer 3?

Damn, I always forget that’s an option! Thanks.

Each instrument does have it’s own volume level to a certain degree as shown here…
But if that isn’t enough, you can look at where that cymbal instrument mic is routed through and you can adjust it there as well…In this example, I am just viewing the dynamic overhead mics, but I also have cymbals routed in the condenser mics as well as in the room mics. All of these can adjust the cymbal volume individually.
Hope that helps.

For me, the 21″ Sabian AA Rock Ride from the Drums of Destruction EZX fits for a majority of the kits I need the ride for. Otherwise, I was not a fan of that EZX.

CC4 values give smooth transitions with the hi-hat foot pedal for varying degrees of the hi-hats openness. So I did a quick drawing on what it would be like, you’ll have to play around with it for your time signature/bpm but this is what I think you are looking for. Basically start with the hit of the most open you want, then the higher the dots go in the CC4 lane, the more closed the hi-hat gets eventually ending with a closed hi-hat pedal.
PS: I am at work right now, so I remoted into my machine and I have no way to preview this audio, so this could be completely wrong. LOL.

Thanked by: Martin, Pertcev and Billy 86You’ll probably need to draw the articulation in on the CC4, starting with a single hit on Hi-Hat Open 2 or 3 and ending with a close foot pedal.
