I had this same questions many years ago. Check out the response below (ref:)

Hi,
can you please try to go to Settings > Advanced > Restore Instrument Database.

From my understanding, you can’t. The two applications are not cross compatible with projects but SD3 is compatible with EZX libraries only. Another user was able to figure out how to use ezd3 presets into SD3 and you can find that here.
The best thing you can do is export the MIDI out of your EZD3 project, import it into SD3, then call up that EZX library and preset.

Ok, I actually figured this out tonight! When the Logic Pro plugin header is collapsed, I cannot detach the mixer or tracker tabs; only the grooves tab. But when, I expand the Logic Pro plugin header to it’s default state, I can detach all tabs like normal.
Side question, not related to SD3, but anyone know why I have an orange dot on my expand and collapse plugin header button. My searches come up empty.

I’m on MacOS 26.1, Logic Pro 11.2.2, and SD3 v3.4.2 and no issues.

Ok, thanks for confirming guys!

For all the time I’ve been using SD3 I never knew this was possible.
Oh this is a feature I use heavily! Especially when auditioning other instruments and tweaking their bleeds in the mixer, game changer! Hopefully Toontrack can resolve this in upcoming patches.

Yea, I don’t think anyone is going to be able to help you because I also get the missing samples on those particular instruments.

Look at the Hitmaker SDX. There is a reggae punk kit preset that has the Synchronicity album vibe.

Thanked by: Scott Eshleman and M.WirschingThe Metal Foundry SDX has a fantastic sticks sound that I used as a count-in for my Volbeat – Shotgun Blues drum cover. You can find it on my YouTube channel linked in my signature if interested hearing what they sound like. 🤘

Thanked by: Andi SaitenhiebGood idea. But unfortunately all the midi I did in SD3’s grid editor is saved as part of the logic file and not in it’s own file so there’s no way to open it in the standalone.
Ahhh, didn’t think of that. My work flow is to always save a .sd3p file when done with my Logic projects in case something like this happens. I’m even export the tempo map out of Logic and into SD3…
I’ve learned my lessons over the years.

Thanked by: JohnHave you tried opening your project in the standalone application and doing your exports there?

Your module is most likely sending CC6 information which is positional sensing data for your snare.
