Oh! Just noticed that Metalheads EZX only requires EZD 1.4 or above, so I got that goin’ for me. Which is nice…

Years ago I used EZDrummer with Ableton, and a Midi Controller with little drum pads. At the time it was great for sketching ideas. I always told myself I’d pick up DFH if I wanted to finish something. I like recording my midi in Ableton and I know the workflow, so I’m not super interested in new tools (well, not interested in paying for tools I don’t really need).

Shortly after, I switched to using an iPad DAW, which was fine for what I was doing, but now I’m moving back to PC. So years later I’m just trying to “get caught up” (looks like I missed an upgrade offer or two since I’ve been away). I’m interested in the Metalheads EZX and the Guitar Gods EZMix. But now I’m thinking I should maybe settle for DFH and my other virtual amps plugins. $180 is a bit steep for one EZX, and on the EZMix side, I really just want a guitar vst, not the whole mixing package…

    Okay, thanks.

    Quick Followup Questions…

If i’m not really interested in midi libraries and songwriting tools, is there any need to upgrade to EDZ 2?
Are there any improvements to the sound or the “Humanize” feature?
Are there any EZX that don’t work with EZD1?
