So, you guys turned anti-aliasing back on for the Tape Sim effect and described it as “graphics are a bit smoother now,” but when you turned it off for everything else you described it as “many graphical elements are less blurry.”

Got your copy editors working overtime instead of just fixing your graphics? Interesting.

Also, I’m unable to install the 1.2 sound update. No directory paths are presented

Probably the library path has ended up in the wrong plist file for some reason. A way to fix it is to remove the library path in SD3 Settings, restart SD3 and add the path again.

First, this isn’t possible. You can’t remove the library path of the default library within SD3. I did essentially the same thing within Product Manager yesterday and again today after your recommendation. Neither solved the issue.

I’m sorry, but do you need someone to generate these for you? Bringing the UI out of 2008 is truly a one day job. I will gladly do it for you for free if you don’t have someone on staff that can take this on.

I’m astounded that the explanation of the release notes is Toontrack promoting turning anti-aliasing off as an improvement. How can you guys look at your drum graphics and the EQ band and think that’s what a program should look like in 2020? It’s obviously not a huge deal, but it is the easiest fix imaginable.

I’m not having this exact issue, but can confirm that it does not appear to be possible to downgrade to 3.1.7 through the normal channels. The uninstallers for both versions are not supported in Catalina and the 3.1.7 installer straight up does not work.

    Hi,

running LUNA 1.02.1559 with SD3 3.1.7 on macOS 10.14.6 here and I’m not seeing sluggish behaviour.

Please try changing the colour profile to sRGB IEC61966-2.1 to see if there’s any difference.

    BR,
    John

It’s pretty frustrating that this is considered an acceptable solution. People have been complaining about this for over a year at least. There’s no reason SD3 shouldn’t work under the default or user calibrated color profile. How can we get this fixed by ToonTrack?
