Henrik, that’s great! Best to start with a shiny new installation you know works.
Certainly odd behaviour, almost seems like the original install was corrupt and missing some graphics files. Good for you to persevere. I did build a new system, so may try to recreate the situation.
Happy drumming!

So when the default kit loads up some cymbals are there and some aren’t. Quite a mystery.
Could you post what the default kit looks like?
In the mean time, I am loading up a new OSX image to try and create a system that has nothing but Superior on it, so we’re close to the same starting point.
Have you tried downloading and re-installing Superior Drummer 3 Library Part 1, from Product Manager?
If not, I would suggest maybe trying that.
I know getting everything on the external drive is done to prevent having to do that, but I am at a loss as to what’s happening.
You may want to put a trouble ticket in and reference this thread as well, through the FAQ page at the top of the forum. (if you haven’t already done so)

That tells me that as far as Product Manager is concerned, everything is installed as it should be and is ready to use.
Sorry to have so many questions, and so far no answers. It’s a bit of a mystery so far.
When you startup SD3, it has drums loaded but the cymbals are blank, is that correct?

Hi there,
In the Toontrack Product Manager App (not the web version) what is the status of Superior Drummer? It may help if you post the details, but please don’t post the serial number.

I’d say sure! Follow-me on Facebook. When Fender/Presonus shutdown their online forum and moved it to a Facebook group I tried signing up to Meta. 5 minutes after putting all my valid information in I received a notification that my name violated their online community standards… yeah the name I have had for 68 years violated an algorithm some pimply faced kid, who probably doesn’t even know what machine code is, dragged and dropped into a function, prevents me from joining… bitter? nah… I have more time to play music….

Is the right room for an argument?
I’ve told you once no, you didn’t
Yes, I did when?
Just now no, you didn’t
Yes, I did no, you didn’t
Excuse me is the five minute argument or the half hour?
Oh, just the five minute

Using an iPad with a USB C cable to MIDI...Using an iPad with a USB C cable to MIDI interface – a midiplus2x2 – midi is working, but no matter how I try I cannot map the pads on this app to drums. I see the notes, set the individual pads to those notes – it plays something in the kit, but not what it’s supposed to. This is a real basic midi pad app. It just will not map. Any ideas? Thanks. Running as a VST in Reaper.

Hi there,
Before getting too much into the technical aspects, have you tried connecting directly to EZDrummer standalone? Just trying to simplify where the problem is.
What iPad app are you using?

One SDX that I have really been digging into lately, and for the reasons you just mentioned, is State of the Art.

Then I created a track with EZbass, opened it up and tried to drag that Midi section into EZBass Drum & Keys. First it would keep pulling up EZKeys so I couldn’t get to EZBass, then I pinned both to separate windows and still it won’t drag the section into EZBass. I even closed the EZKeys window and still when I drag over to EZBass it does nothing. The section being dragged just disappears when I drag over EZBass.
UPDATE: Same thing happens with EZDrummer 3 – I try to drag the Midi into the Bandmate to get a groove and it just disappears and nothing happens. So this isn’t an EZBass only issue.

Hi Chuck,
When you pin the EZBass and EZKeys plugins are you overlapping them? You have to do that to drag between them in Studio One, otherwise focus changes back to studio one and it doesn’t work.

Thanks for the reply and information. Looks like a good cable, that being said, all manufacturers can produce the odd defect. But you indicated that you’ve tried another cable.
As Jord suggested have you tried a powered USB hub similar to this?

BTW I am not suggesting you buy this one just trying something similar.
