    Bonjour,

Assurez-vous de créer une piste d’instrument stéréo dans Pro Tools pour y insérer EZDrummer. Il doit s’agir d’une piste d’instrument stéréo.

Hi Tom, You worked out the issue with Cantabile not preloading kits then, great!

Unfortunately no. When Cantabile is started it says it is preloading, but you have to load the presets yourself before they are. Not sure why. So before my first set at a gig I just step through the kits I want in memory and then switching between them the rest of the night is instant.

That’s too bad and my experience while trying to debug the problem ended with the same result. I thought maybe Cantabile had figured out how to trigger SD3 to load on startup.

Is there a way to delete a bar in the grid editor or move the remaining bars ahead one bar? I can remove the notes in the bar I don’t need but I can’t figure out how to delete it or take the remaining bars and move forward one bar. Any help would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

It’s software so there’s multiple ways, this is the way I do it, YMMV. I don’t delete or move sections in grid editor, opting to instead perform operations like that in the EZD3 track section. You can zoom in, use the scissor tool to separate sections, delete them or move them around.

    Hope this helps.

    Hi Brad,

    Appreciate your input.

I do use TT Product Manager (I am not aware of any other way to download SD3 or EZD3 files). And, yes, I do use the “Clean Up” button when downloads are complete.

I have no issues contacting TT support to see if they can help me download just the needed (corrupt) files. But, I will keep campaigning to get TT to use file names, download protocols and UI and UX practices that give the users more control. BFD3 (buggy as it may be) allows a lot of control of what the user wants in or out in the library. The library menu structuring and filtering is miles beyond TT’s “you’ll see what we tell you you’ll see”. To be fair, TT’s individual drum replacement system is pretty good. Allowing the user to determine what they see and how they structure the kit/preset menus is non-existent.

I just started re-downloading the Basic Sound Library… at last glance, just 19hrs and 10mins to go, Yippie!!

Thank you again for your thoughtful input!!

    Jeff

19 hours… yikes I feel your pain, I just downloaded Drumpolis and have somewhat fast fibre link and it still took the good part of an evening.

    Hi there,

So a couple things I will ask. Do you use Toontrack Product Manager? If yes, do you use the “Clean Up” button? If not then you should still have the original download files. Which means you can reinstall without downloading.

Second, have you contacted Toontrack Support? They might be able to assist getting you the files. You may feel you shouldn’t need to do that, I’m just throwing what little I know out there.

When I try a choke in learn mode, it doesn’t register in ezdrummer, so unfortunately, that’s not the solution.
Also it seemed to work with a TD17 i rented for a project last year, so it definitely must be possible.

In the edrums explanatory video, Toontrack states that “Cymbal choking is supported by ezdrummer and superior drummer and should work by default by simply selecting the correct e-drum preset for your module.”
    So it should definitely work.

Hi-hat splashes also don’t work for me by the way, but since I rarely use those, that’s not much of a problem…

I did do a full reset of the efnote module to see if the issue had something to do with custom settings, but that didn’t do the trick…

    Operating system: macOS Tahoe (26)

When you open Logic Pro’s Event List, do you see what efNote is sending? Does it correspond to the mute hit on the cymbal(s) in question?

Are you running standalone or through a DAW? Are you getting an error message from within a DAW?
How are you trying to run EZKeys 2.

Take a screenshot of Product Manager: details of EZKeys 2, blackout the serial number, and post it here.

This is a different issue from the OP you should have started a new thread for it.

Curious how everyone is using EZD 3 live.  How are you getting EZD3 to front of house/sound engineer? I have a mixer next to me. Trying to figure out the best way to get a feed to main board. My mixer is Yamaha MG10.  Macbook Pro M1 Max.  Interface is Motu M2 2×2.

    Inputs

    ch1- external click track

ch2- EZD3 from laptop via audio interface

ch3- band monitor feed from main board/front of house

Should I send a line out of interface to front of house? Use aux send out of my mixer to front of house?

Please be patient with me. I’m new to the edrum world.

    THANKS!!!!!

If you are doing anything in your mixer then use the aux sends, otherwise I would just use the 2bus in EZD3 into your interface and the lineouts to the FOH. Simplifies everything, but either way is acceptable.

Didn’t realaize how old this thread was….
