Is there a way to export just the audio from the loop or determine the length of the wav export? When I export (12 bars) as a wav I get a trail of silence (additional 10 bars) at the end that I don’t want. I am currently using EZ Keys2…

I would also love to see the EZHorns become a reality. The faster you make it, the faster I can buy it… just sayin’

I got tired of waiting for a response on the forum and contacted Toontrack directly which is an option, although finding the links on the website could be much easier. I was left with the feeling that there was not going to be any fix to this issue, but if the NYV1 was installed the presets would all work seamlessly. Everybody uses this product for their own reasons. I personally am a guitar player with a small recording studio that I produce in. The actual cost of the SDX expansions is similar to the cost of a medium quality guitar pedal, so in my case it was worth buying to eliminate the issue altogether. That doesn’t mean that I believe anybody should have to spend more money to have the product they buy function as expected. I’m sure that legally Toontrack is in the clear to leave things as is, but morally I feel that it’s not best business practice to sell a product that has options that don’t work stand alone without some form of up-front disclaimer. They do this with some products regarding the midi content, letting you know that the midi is the same as included in another purchase so you don’t double dip.  Would be nice to see on the requirements of the SDX’s that you must have NYV1 installed for all presets to work… I think a simple statement like that would solve so much of this problem. I’m only posting this so people might see this and be informed prior to purchasing and being disappointed after the fact as I was. Now that I have installed NYV1 I have no further issues with any Toontrack SDX or EZX.

The solution to making all the presets function is downloading NY Vol 1. Once I purchased that and installed it, all the presets from all the libraries that seem to be problematic begin to work flawlessly. Not sure why toontrack hasn’t just included this sound library as an update for the libraries that have issues, but they haven’t as of yet and it doesn’t look like it’s happening any time soon. I took advantage of a sale on NYV1 and it cured all my issues. I would also like to add that even though it seems like a bad deal to buy a library with just one drum kit for the same price as one with 5 or more, the increased focus on that 1 kit makes it sound so much better to my ear. While I wish I hadn’t had to pay additional money for NYV1 just to make presets from other libraries function, I can state that the quality of the NYV1 library sounds makes it worth owning.

If one would purchase and install the New York vol 1 sdx would this fix the problem of the missing sound library and make the other sdx expansions that use that library operate correctly?

Looking at the forums it seems this is not the only SDX that suffers from the issue of missing pieces due to the loss of the SD2 library. Since the NY V1 is supposed to be the complete sound library from SD2, would installing that SDX put the missing pieces in place?

This issue completely locks up my SD3 and ends up with me having to do a reboot. My only option I can see is to select “load without missing drums” which then stops the program from playing any sounds even if I replace the drums with something I know is available. Very frustrating, and the only bad experience I’ve had with any toontrack product. I hope there is a resolution soon.
