Go to Midi in/Edrums settings, select the preset for your kit and then below in the “edit” menu, check “Single choke Mode” and “lower choke threshold”, make sure to save the preset.
That’s one of the mysteries never solved, even in Superior Drummer 3 if you have a default project saved the next time you open SD3 it loads an “untitled” project, the only thing it loads is your default kit.
