Thanks, I actually got the same result today, deleting the 3rd Chorus in the same way you did now. I am forwarding this to my colleagues.

    BR,
    John

Have you heard back from them? Thanks.

I’ve discovered this behavior is triggered after zooming all the way in as far as possible for precise editing and then zooming out to a more broad overview. That seems to break the auto scroll function. When I first open the project at a more ‘normal’ view, auto scroll works fine. Only after maximum zoom in, do some edit tweaks and zoom back out does it break.

can anyone replicate this behavior? If it’s a bug, I will move this issue to a more appropriate forum.

hmmmm — no option in either the standalone or DAW for MIDI channel

Strange. But yeah. No indication in the manual of that feature. Only difference appears to be Brad’s on a Mac?

Is it possible I inadvertently set something in a sub menu that’s preventing auto scroll from working?

Yes, my auto-scroll is enabled. Makes no difference.

    Hi,

if you have notes selected, the window stays with the selected notes. De-select them and the Auto Scroll works as expected. I think the idea is that a if you have notes selected, it is because you want to edit them and don’t want the window to scroll past them.

    BR,
    John

I’m suddenly having this issue as well. Auto scroll stopped working this past weekend. I don’t have any notes selected in the grid editor. Follow host is on. The song track scrolls, but not the grid editor.

    Anything else I can check?

Thanks John. I’ve been using EZB for years in tandem with EZ Keys 1  and have never experienced this. The only new variable in my workflow is working now with EZK2. In this project, I built the song inEK2, dragged the song track data (song parts, chords, midi) into EZB and began to alter the midi for the bass part. I did not drag the EZK2 data to the Drums & Keys tab in EZB. I dragged straight from EZK2’s song track to EZB’s song track.

Hi John, I get the same behavior on two different computers in both standalone and in my DAW.

Here is a small .gif that shows what’s happening. When I delete midi from the last chorus, it changes the midi in the previous two choruses and in some of the verses.

Here is the file. I opened a new Cakewalk project, instantiated a fresh EZ Bass and opened this. It’s the only thing in the new project, and it did the same thing. Changing a midi block changes other — one would assume unrelated — midi blocks. Thanks for the help…

I’ve discovered that other than manually altering individual notes in the Grid Editor in the various song sections,  doing something like “replace Midi from the grooves tab messes up the midi in the chorus sections. For example, use the replace midi in a section from the grooves browser in a verse and it will mess up the two choruses’ midi the exact same as I’ve previously described. I tried creating a new track, copy/pasting the first track into it to see if that made a difference, but it didn’t. Same behavior.

It’s like all the midi in the song is somehow “linked” to the midi in the choruses, which are affected by alterations in other song sections’ midi. One other note, I recall I dragged the song (song parts, chords and midi) in from EZ Keys 2 before I started  replacing the midi from the grooves tab.

I can’t figure it out, and now I’m dead in the water because I have the end of the song to finish, but if I touch the existing “placeholder” Midi (left over from dragging the EZ Keys 2 Midi into that section, it messes up a 1/2 day’s work on the what I’ve already done. Pretty frustrating. Maybe it’s something hanging up in the drag/drop from EZ Keys 2?

    Hello 🙂

I am very happy with Superior Drummer as my main drum groove plugin. For weird and funny eletronic percussion sounds and grooves I usually use Native Instruments Reaktor. What I need is a huge library of hand percussion grooves, i.e. tambourine, conga, cowbell, bongo etc. The closest I get with my present arsenal is Stylus RMX but the hand percussion grooves in RMX are a bit of an afterthought, even though they are absolutely usable.

What is the best hand percussion groove library (and drum grooves are not interesting because that area is covered by SD3)?

    Thanks a lot in advance,

    Soren from Denmark

Thought I’d point out, in case you are unaware — which wouldn’t be surprising because TT didn’t send out a notice (at least I didn’t get one) — but the Latin Percussion with all the goodies is on sale for 40% off.

A tangled situation. I’ll make a glaringly simple suggestion because it’s help me solve 90% of my DAW/plugin weirdness anf is usually the first thing I’ll try. Have you tried to reboot your box?

Not working in S1, but you should be able to. I select and drag midi from EK2 into a midi track in Cakewalk all the time. Have to ask: You’re dragging to a midi track and not an audio track right?
