Thanks to all for your replies. I did find the basic stick MIDI note, as mentioned by Scott. However, I really like the suggestion about finding a suitable sample out on the web and massaging it for use with SD3 (or my base Komplete Kontrol system). I think I’ll take the latter path as I’m seeking an aggressive count-in which is loud and punkish, and the current “official” offerings are surprisingly subdued. I think I may even take it an extra step and simply record me banging some sticks together in different ways to get exactly what I’m looking for, and then incorporate them into SD3 grooves, as I am able.

Thanked by: Henrik EkblomI have both SD3 and the Nashville EZX, and neither of them have the missing, elusive, straightforward stick count-in. I’m looking for something as simple (and loud) as what is heard at the beginning of Bad Company: “Can’t Get Enough”
Is there an EZX that has this basic item, or is this something that I need to record myself?
