Yeah, I’m surprised they didn’t include this with the recent Latin releases. Not much included in the original EZBass.
Same with the Detroit Soul series, though there are more soul & funk grooves included.

You can change any of the EZKeys chords the same way you can in EZBass using the Chord Wheel
Manually yes I know I can do that but I just want to drag-and-drop from EZBass into EZKeys.
Is drag-and-drop from EZBass into EZKeys possible?

Notice the chords from EZBass and when I dropped them into EZKeys.
EZKeys is interpreting the midi. I’m only guessing, but try grabbing the chords from EZBass instead of the midi.

EZKey sound expansions don’t come with midi, correct?
I’m considering Hybrid Harp but wonder how useful keyboard/piano midi would be with it.

Another vote for a stand up bass, with a side of extended chords.
You do know you can write your own MIDI right?
😂
Is that a serious question or are you being an ass? If serious, yes, I know. However, using the included grooves and song writing tool would be more efficient with access to extended chords; less editing and all.
😂

To spin off what RM said, a needed key feature is the adding/subtracting notes/hits from it’s big brother instruments. SD3 does it much more intelligently so I hope that would be the model. Because I agree, the grooves go from basic to complicated too abruptly. Separate from editing in the grid, we need an intelligent, automated way to add/subtract complexity to/from the grooves.

@olof, I updated the files you requested. And the Terminal results are:

Update:
I Restored MIDI Database. Problem solved. But of course, my linked MIDI and favorites were removed, so I replaced the MidiDB and MidiDB_fav files with the backups. Problem returned.
I looked up how to capture video, so I have that, but the vid is too large to attach, even after zipping it. It goes from 2.9MB to 2.2MB. Any suggestions?
@Olof, with the above results, should I still run the terminal script? I’m always leery of those.

I misspoke. These are not user MIDI, they’re linked MIDI that I’m concerned with keeping. I have a bunch of them favorited. Backing up the MidiDB_fav file would include these?

@John, I have no idea how to do that. I grabbed a screen shot though. This is at the top/left of the section where the MIDI grooves would be. This shows for the 8-10 seconds, then the MIDI appears.
@Patrik, I have not added any user MIDI in quite some time. I added a bunch when I first installed SD3 and learned how to do so, and a bit more from Groove Monkee a short time after that. It’s been several months at least. The only recent change were the updates from a week or so ago. I had no problems until after the updates.

No I have not, but reading the descriptions, I’ll have to redo all my user libraries. And I imagine all my user favorites will be un-starred. Any other suggestions?

@Erik, thanks for the feedback & photo.
I get that they are as different as 2 SDXs are from each other. I only have the Orchestral SDX (the rest of my add ons are EZXs), but other drum MIDI tends to work when the kit piece is there (bass drum, snare, toms, cymbals). And a groove from the Reggae EZX plays fine on a SD3 kit, for example, with maybe timbale hits going to a tom. Versus a bongo groove from LP triggering a bongo and a castanet or something in Orch Perc II, despite their being 2 bongos. I’m sure this is due to the difference in articulations, like you said, but the drum libs seem to handle the differences much better, at least from what I own.
I’m hoping LCP & LP grooves work together more like the drum libs than LP & Orch Perc II. Maybe I’m suggesting some behind the scenes MIDI mapping adjustments so that articulation differences at least trigger something from the same kit piece/instrument rather than whatever happens to be assigned to C2, for example.
I don’t yet own LCP. If I do get it, I may use both to get a bit of an ensemble. I’m just trying to gather info that’s not available elsewhere.
