Not experiencing this on any of my libraries either. Need more details and a preset as mentioned above.

The only way I can see you being able to manipulate your drum sounds in the grid editor is by loading each sample into the articulations. However, you are then dealing with one shot samples that would probably sound more drum machine like in nature. Even if you go the Superior Drummer library route, there will be room differences and stuff and it will more than likely be noticeable. Not saying it can’t be done, but it can be a ton of work for little return. If you want to keep it real, the best choice I can think of is to take a fill from another part of your drum track and graft it in over your bad fill.

EZ Keys 2 would be in your Product Manager. This leads me to ask, do you have EZ Keys 2? Classic Rock Organ is a MIDI pack that requires EZ Keys.

Thanked by: Scott EshlemanMick is referring to the MIDI/e-drum settings. You would have to go through the various kit pieces that you want to remove the articulations and open the drop-down menu and select the “Clear“ item.

if you were using a limiter in the context of a song, then what you are picking up is more than just the snare hits. Waveforms add up and the limiter is doing its job by taming the peaks. As it was also alluded to earlier, all drummers vary in velocity by a couple of decibels. this is partly the reason why bus compression is used on a drum mix. Also remember that in older songs, a tape machine also added its own form of compression.
I wouldn’t be overly focused on what is showing in a limiter as opposed to what is coming through on your speakers.

Thanked by: dg7779311You say the map can be manually edited – this defeats the object of having it done automatically. If I have to go in and manually edit nodes to get it to line up, then this function is not doing what it’s supposed to
Not true. Even the tempo mapping in a DAW is not always accurate and needs to be aligned to your downbeats of your audio. I use the Tracker in various multi tempo situations. If you align the tempo as was indicated by John the MIDI will exports properly with your tempo map. More importantly it will export with your downbeat properly placed so that you can change the tempo and your MIDI will follow along properly.
If you want the export done right, you need to put in a bit of work. That’s audio production as a whole.

Listening to the Abyss preset, it is really nothing but a long modulated reverb under the piano create a pad effect. You can re-create that in any DAW with a pre-fader send. You can then take out the piano as you wish.

How is your external drive formatted? If it is anything other than APFS then you are probably going to experience issues such as this.

Basically as John said.
in this case, if it is EZ Drummer 2, get the sender to save an EZ Drummer project (hopefully the MIDI is on the EZ Drummer timeline) alongside the GarageBand project and you will have to create a new EZ Drummer 3 track in GarageBand and import the EZ Drummer project into it.
