To start, check the track inspector in Logic to see what MIDI channel your software instrument track is listening to. If it’s not set for All (unless you have a bank of controllers, All will suffice), I’d start there.

When I am recording audio, I am monitoring it through the Apollo, rather than using software monitoring within Logic. The Apollo provides near zero latency, with some other added benefits. this is what allows me to keep my core audio buffers at 1024. Less strain on the CPU.

Latency is definitely considerable at 1024. However, I’m not overly concerned since I use the audio monitoring of my UAD Apollo.

Crackling at 64 in Logic is more likely as the It has to work harder with a shorter buffer between its own audio processing and processing plug-Ins.

Again If you’re bouncing separate tracks, there is no processing. This is why the OH is low. You would need to apply processing to the tracks within your DAW in this case.

Bouncing the output tracks will apply processing

If you’re bouncing individual channels of a preset, they are bounced without any processing. Chances are, the OH channel has some processing on it.

This is being way too overthought as far as Logic goes. Latency within Logic is more pertinent to Audio rather than MIDI. there should be no perceived latency delay for MIDI input to software instruments, even at higher CoreAudio sample rates. If you are experiencing any noticeable delay within Logic, then you need to adjust your audio and/or delay compensation settings.

Just for reference, why are you go for settings are at 1024 and I am using SD3 through my Maschine control with no latency.

Route your kit pieces to their own busses and route them to separate outputs and bounce the outputs.

Can you ZIP up your SD3 project and post it? It might be easier to help you figure this out if you put up a file to work with.

Are you certain that you’re hearing bleed and not an ambience channel? Perhaps, you May have hid one of the ambience channels that have instruments going through them.

Did you right-click the target region and select “Paste on Selected Block” (or something like that)? I use this all the time to come up with new grooves. Works like a charm.

You can copy the region containing the hi-hat and then paste it on the regions containing the drums.

ToonTrack just released a video outlining this:

You can’t apply the mixer from another expansion to your kit as the routings differ between expansions. What you can do, however, is select kit pieces from different expansions (option-r) and load them into your mixer. However, you will have to adjust microphone routines when doing so.

If you right-click on your kit piece and select Search for Instrument… you can select a kit piece from any library.

Hard to tell without looking at the SD3 project. Post it so we can see.
