Aside from the fact that your other thread was not hijacked, the reason that your bounce is not sounding the same as the preset is because it lacks the cohesiveness of the bus processing at the end.
This would need to be re-created within your DAW, and even then it may differ because various software developers develop plug-ins that emulate hardware in their own way. Â You pretty much have to go by your ears in order to dial things in the way you wish.
Bouncing separate tracks through the bus is not the same by any stretch as adding bus processing to all of the tracks. It will be disjointed and somewhat unreal because everything is not working together.

I usually try not to ponder over things like that. It takes away from valuable guitar time. 😀
The first time I ever heard the term “yacht rock“ I was like WTF??

“Yacht rock“ is more of a consumer term for AOR. It pretty much encapsulates that easy-going softer side of rock music. One might consider it colloquial or slang.
The problem with the ghost notes on the groove might have more to do with the kit choice or drum mix than anything else. Even still, it’s not really an issue within SD3 considering that you can mutate the groove any way you want with the edit play styles.
I, as well, like writing grooves and tools like SD3 and Logic make it easier today than it was 40 years ago. However, I don’t mind picking up some grooves when they are on sale, some of them are pretty standard which saves me a bit of time. Not to mention, being able to mix-and-match parts within SD3 to come up with totally new groove possibilities.

If you are finding that it is overwhelming in the chorus, perhaps add a bit of automation uncertain channels.
I haven’t released any new songs lately, as I have been taking the time during COVID to sharpen some rhythm skills.I do have a couple of songs in the works, however.

When you tell the installer to install the library on your external drive, it will update SD3 as to the location of the library. I run all of my libraries  on an external raid without issue.

If it is freezing during the AU validation, it’s quite possible that you have a corrupt AU cache. In that case you should delete the cache and rescan all your plug-ins.
3.2.1 installed and validated without issue here

To add a future hit instrument groove to your existing groove, drag it from the groove part area onto your groove. This actually applies to any groove, to allow you to mix and match to create new grooves.

The Rosanna groove can be found in one of the “yacht rock“ MIDI packs. I forget which one, but it is there.
The only real problem I find with third-party midi packs are that they are in general midi format. Thus, they lack articulations that are key to bring up the characteristics of the groove.

I had a listen. So far, the only thing that really stuck out in the first song is that The drums did not feel prominent in the mix. Other than that, I liked it.

yeah I already posted about that yesterday – no response yet but assume it will be fixed in an update soon. For now just change the power hand to your gong for that lovely big splash at the end of your metal masterpiece.
The end?? How predictable. 😀

The late great Andy Johns once said, when explaining how he got Bonham’s drums in “When the Levee Breaks”, “Even with all of the right equipment, mics and gear, only Bonzo can make it sound like Bonzo”
That being said, comparing both the 402 Supraphonic and 417 Black Beauty to a few songs in Led Zeppelin II (considering that album was mixed by Kramer), the tuning is only off by approximately 80 cents. Adjusting the tuning and then adding some EQ, back bus compression and a bit of tape distortion and, yeah, the rimshots crack rather comparably like they do on Zeppelin II.
This SDX doesn’t disappoint in that respect.

Both Maschine and Maschine Mikro are my pads of choice. They aren’t cheap, but they are highly configurable and I can switch between pad groups in a flash which works for me. That way I can change hi-hat articulations or switch to ride symbol without altering my playing style.

Thanked by: JamesI finally stopped messing around with the SDX and plugged it into a couple of songs that I was working on. This might be the first time I have hit a crossroads in one of the songs: both the Legacy of Rock and Rock Foundry kits impart their magic on the song and breathe their own life into it. It just comes down to whether I want that true 70’s Classic Rock feel of LoR or the modern feel of the Rock Foundry. It’s not an easy decision as they both sound amazing to my ears. Something for me to sleep on, I guess.

What’s the crack like on the snares? I tried recreating Bonzo’s sound a while back using different bits from various EZX & SDX addons
I’m tempted to get this but Rooms of Hanza has been my first choice for a while.
Not to be facetious or condescending here BUT…
You do realize this SDX is from the man behind Zeppelin’s mix. Considering that he used Helios pre’s to capture the drums (which was what Zeppelin was recorded on), I think this is the closest you will ever get to Bonzo without having to conduct a seance. Every time I close my eyes and listen to this SDX, I am almost picturing him playing. If he were here today, I’m sure he’d be proud of how Eddie captured his kits.

Just as I figured… had that once on an update that affected all my software instruments.
Computers gotta love ’em… can’t play SD3 without ’em. 😀
