No, I hadn’t thought of that yet – also a possibility. I will look into that!

Sure – but that was not really what the question was all about, now was it… 😉

Thanks for all the answers! I’ve listened to the suggestions, and although they’re all great and inspiring, they’re still not THAT sound. Which leaves me with some experimenting to do. That’s okay, it’s part of the fun.
But maybe there’s an opportunity for Toontrack as well: why not do an EZX based on that kind of sounds? The Jam & Lewis-sounds, but also that Phil Collins In the Air Tonight-type drums? I know they’ve done something similar for Superior Drums, so why not? I’m sure it would make a lot of EZdrummer-users very happy.

Thanked by: BleedFunkAha, okay – sorry. Confusion got the best of me (it says ‘Install 2.0.2’ really big, and ‘update’ really small, but that’s just me making excuses for myself… :-))
While I’m at it: I’ve had to reinstall because I had an SSD mounted (and cloning didn’t work out), and I’ve had to reinstall previously because of a virus. As a result, with various EZX’s it says that ‘my serial number has too many active authorizations’. If I click the provided link to ‘free up more slots’, it takes me to a page where I haven’t got a clue what to do next. I copy/pasted just about every combination listed on that page, it kept saying I need more slots. Should I request those, and how should I do that?
Great that it worked for you, but I’m facing the same problem. I updated EZ Drummer 2 to version 2.0.2. and Hip Hop still insists it needs a more recent version. What’s going on..?!
Just to let you know: I just tried your suggestion and it didn’t work. The problem: how do you copy a miditrack from the DAW (Cubase 7 Elements) on to the Songtrack? Drag and drop doesn’t work. I could try to import the midifile, but I haven’t got a clue as to where Cubase hides that info.
The good news: I found a really easy way around all that, that works like a charm: simply set Cubase to start the song at the bar you want to find back, click record on the Song Track and then click the Play button in Cubase: EZ Drummer records that bar. Then right click on the recorded bar, click Find and Search with Tap2Find and voila: found!
Btw: the links to other Forum posts weren’t very helpful: I got an ‘Access denied’-message because apparently the posts were about Superior Drummer, which I don’t have…
Thanks guys – I knew it couldn’t be all that difficult. I will try your suggestions!
I just downloaded and installed EZ Drummer 2 – without any problems, mind you. I’ve been messing around with it for ten minutes now and just wanted to drop a quick note before I go and explore the rest of what’s new. I wanted to let you know EZ Drummer 2 is fantastic! The looks, the sounds, the ease of use – the whole package is just amazing. I’ve been a very satisfied user of EZ Drummer 1, but what you did with it is simply phenomenal. I just wanted to congratulate everybody at Toontrack for doing such an astounding job – and myself for buying the upgrade and having so much more possibilities. Great job, guys!
