Dr. Avi Bar-Eitan earned his PhD in musicology from the Hebrew University and currently teaches at Bar-Ilan University and the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. His areas of expertise include music theory, musicianship, orchestration, film music, computer music, and Israeli music. Dr. Bar-Eitan is also the author of six books on music theory, titled Speaking Music, which serve as valuable resources for students and professionals alike. In addition to his academic contributions, he is an accomplished composer, conductor, and arranger, performing at numerous venues across the country. His compositions span a wide range of styles—contemporary, experimental, and diverse—encompassing chamber, orchestral, film, and theater music.
