have you got an antivirus program running in the background?
I use Kaspersky and find that if i have it turned on it can occasionally cause dropouts/crackles in the audio.
When playing my TD27 I disconnect my laptop from the internet then close down kaspersky and the drop outs are gone.
Just got to remember to put Kaspersky back on!
cheers
Hi
Not sure if its been mentioned but this is a know issue with the TD27 module.
apparently Roland are aware and might be doing a firmware update soon.
see below link at Vdrums:

Are you using USB Audio output from your Vdrums?
If so, have you adjusted/increased the USB input gain?
Heres a good video for initial setup of Vdrums with SD3

Thanked by: AlBobWell strangely enough this is happening to me also with Indiependant SDX but not with Legacy or D&D SDX.
Im happy with the HH calibration on Legacy/D&D so Im not prepared to make global changes just to fix Indie.
Can we adjust the HH just within the effected SDX not SD3 generally?
I agree, I would not have bought Indie at full price either but its worth US$49 (to me anyway)
If you are into rock/hard rock then Legacy is all you need in my opinion as a modern SDX

Thanked by: sjchoate94Ive got Death and Darkness/Legacy of rock and just bought Indiependent on sale.
I think the difference between the older libraries and the more modern ones is that you dont have to work as hard to get a great sound out of the modern releases. By this I mean that the kits are already tweaked with effects and adjustments to make them sound the best they can be.
Having said that, I found that Indiependent SDX is fantastic and with a little tweaking sounds every bit as good the later releases.
Cant speak for other releases though.
