My concern was less about upgrading right this minute so much as getting the discussion going. There’ll be other people who have the same question and will find this post when they search Google, etc, so they’ll see this and know to hold off on upgrading. Also, in the near future there will be people who buy new hardware that comes pre-installed with Monterey. 🙂
