You are the only person I’ve come across these days that uses Logic. It must be cold out there.
Weren’t you a big BFD fanboy for a long time?
I just think that ToonTracks could do better with SD3. The current version is not quite good enough in the current world, and they risk losing their edge.
Peace and Love.
I agree that this would improve SD3! We will continue to look into it, and if we had unlimited time and resources it would already have been fixed – unfortunately we don’t have that. Thanks for the feedback, and the patience!
Hi Henrik,
Thanks for commenting. In the meantime, would it be possible to make the [Cubase Only] 32 Mono track option function for Cubase AND Nuendo? They are essentially the same program. I’m guessing that SD3 is currently able to detect if Cubase is the host DAW. This would at least give me (and other Nuendo users) the possibility to run SD3 in either Stereo or Mono mode. Or am I missing a setting somewhere?

No I don’t have a way to extract 32 mono channels. It doesn’t work. I don’t use Cubase.
As I said, I was hoping to move away from BFD2/3, but don’t think that losing the mono/stereo output facilities I currently have in BFD2/3 by moving to SD3 is a very creative thing to do.
The very best option would be for SD3 to allow users to freely configure, or at least, select mono and stereo outputs. This would keep everyone happy and provide a very professional solution.

To Spinne1000:
That is unbelievable! This is the 21st Century.
What you are suggesting is a way too fiddly and complicated workaround.
Mixing is complicated enough these days without having to mess around with panning things left and right just to get mono channels as if it was still 1980.
If I had even imagined that this would be the case we would not have bought the software.
What a mess!

Yes, you’re right. But I found no other solution to get seperate mono outputs. In my case I have the drumset on 5 outputs: Kick, Snare, Toms, Hihat and overhat.
I need (most of the time) 2x Mono for Kick, 2 or 3x Mono for Snare, 1x Mono for Hi-Hat, 1x Stereo for Percussion, 1 x Stereo for Toms, 1 x Stereo for Cymbols, 1 x Stereo for Ambience, 1 x Stereo for Overheads, 1 x Stereo for Room. This is something that BFD2/3 handles with ease. I was hoping to move away from BFD.

To Olof:
No. There is a [Cubase Only] setting that appears to offer 32 mono outputs only, but this is inactive.
We need a range of Stereo and Mono outputs – like BFD2/BFD3 has.
