What’s you issue? As it is only a controller it does not sound by itself.
What you can have with a workaround is separated BELL audio level (or also EDGE).
And you can have the CY-18DR authentical Cymbal Choke translation featuring those soft chokes when placing your hand on the bow sensor ( LINK: Roland CY-18DR Digital Ride Cymbal: authentical drum sampler Choke translation ). 🙂
Hey MintberryCrunch I have been struggling with the SD3 hats as well. Vh-10 Td-27 on Logic Pro. Interested in your fix
Hey Steve, I’ve sent you an email. 🙂
Yes it’s possible: just use a DAW and two instances of EZDr2. 🙂

Hi, I’m really interested in this, I can’t get a nice smooth hat sound transition between samples in Cubase 11, SD3 on a Roland TD 25 with a set of VH 11 Hi-Hats. How do I get it? Thanks
Hey bopkins14, I’ve sent you an email. 🙂
My experience ist that Alesis Strike modules send some weird MIDI stuff. I remember a guy who had issues with a not changable choke note number (which was also a note for another articulation). I can look into your issue. (You can also check out my special forum group on FB and contact me there): https://www.facebook.com/groups/579177292995927
Smooth hihat transitions with no chatter. Perfect!
Thanks! You are welcome! 🙂
You can have a choke translation in Ableton DrumRack and -Sampler using a software workaround or eDRUMin trigger2midi device. There are also detailed AL-multi-samples-A-kit-packs. But no chance using SD3. AFAIK version 11 won’t fix it (it’s on their to-do-list – place 9265 – since the Middle Ages).

Thanked by: mewecoffeeHi Mintberry Crunch, I’ve watched your video and this is exactly what I’m looking for. My email address is davewright@rogers.com Thanks!
Hey Dave, I’ve sent you an email. 🙂
you can enable the envelope, set the release, then set the release trigger to note off.
There are some possibilites: e.g. you can have a different noteON event stop the roll.
@Mintberrycrunch Hi and thank you for your answer, I’ve watch your video and it seems to be a solution while i’m playing but what about my session with is already recorded 😉 ?
No problem if you have recorded your midi data: You can also fix it on post production.

Thanked by: FrankI can look into your issue if you don’t get it sorted out… Are you also on V-Drums forum?
It’s very EZy: Just make sure you have the variable articulations and controller data mapped correctly. EZDr2 mapping is fixed so get to your module mapping or remap within a DAW …or for newbies: just use an e-drum preset in EZDr2 and make sure your module is set to default (factory reset).
New With Live 11. “MIDI Polyphonic Expression”
No, PolyPressure is not supported with this MPE feature. 🙁
Ableton 10 cannot support cymbal chokes right now, but Ableton 11 can, which is coming out in a few months.
Where did you get this info? Tobi from AbletonDrummer checked it with his BETA (and of course: nothing) and you won’t find anything in the Release Notes so far.
