Have you ever had the second cymbal choke when playing it. Especially on the modern kits. Is there a fix..does the DTX 900 have a midi after touch setting do you know? Is it possible to get a copy of that Roland preset?

Ha..47 your a pup! I too played toured and recorded on acoustics for years. I chose electronics for many reasons. Practice being the most dominant..then when I heard bfd3..VST recording. Then I discovered ezd2 like you I love it. I have experimented forba long time with the the Yamaha module and gear and found i dislike mesh heads. I do however like the E-pro live and have created a Yamaha E-pro live hybrid. Just these few bugs I wish I could fix.

Hmm I may have just been ignoring the high hat issue. The cymbal issue bothers me way more though. I suppose maybe in superior we can fix these issues. I The kits just don’t sound the same to me. And there seems to be less options for the drums themselves on all the ezx kits I purchased. It’s too bad..I would even pay extra for the mapping to work correctly. Ezdrummer 2 outs are so much easier to direct than superior 2. And like I said sound better. All the mics and stuff in superior are kinda confusing..I’m not a sound guy!

Yea it sucks. I don’t have too many issues with hh sensitivity. Are you using the Yamaha driver? Asio? I previously had the mapping for bfd3 installed may have fixed some of the hat issues..but I don’t like it as much as ezd2. I’ve had this issue a couple of years kinda pisses me off. I wish they’d just create a map update for ezd2. It’s so much easier to use. Keep me posted and I will if I find a fix..using this live makes me nervous now

Yea I have some issues with the same module myself. Usually it’s a crash triggered by the hihats. And my other issue is sometimes after a few hits my second cymbal sound is a chick sound. If I go into the midi after recording I can delete all the poly after touch instances and correct it. But now that I am trying this live I wish I could correct it. I wonder if there is a after touch midi setting within the dtx900 somewhere?

Thanks John will the superior install work even tho I did it from the purchased DVDs not online?

Yea I tried that not sure how to do that. I have SD2 as well. How do you do thatv there? Is it a file maybe I could download somewhere? I use pad 13 & 14 for extra cybals and get hihat parts on them. I read somewhere a mono cable would help..just not sure how. thanks

Well the kits are different in EZD2. And I like them better than the stock kits in SD2. I will upgrade..but all these upgrades are confusing. I hope I can get this together tonight.

I cant seem to mimick the hihats. Any ideas? BFD 3 crashes my system. I dont tnink it will work for me. Id really like to somehow make EZD2 work..any other work around?

See i use the audioi interface cuz my sound card sux. Im gonna try reinstalli g in another folder. Should it be in vsti or just vst? I have the driver but it sounds horrid goung straight into reaper. Even with asio4all. I may have to hit you up for a screen shot of what you did with the hats ..i really want ezd2.

Gmont..have you done this? Do you use Ezd2? Cuz seriously i love the ease of use its way less complicated than BFD3. The other issue tho..when i installed i put it in my vsts but it diesnt show in reaper. How do you get it from dtx into your computer i am using a steinberg .ur22 audiio interface.i think i may have a routing issue too. Damb i ove the sound..is ezd2 expandabke?

Yea I downloaded the demo. Damn I wish this worked. I absolutely loved the interface and the sounds…and it played my midi almost perfect except one crucial point…the open hats play as open close..which sucks cause there is no fix…and I couldnt seem to get it into reaper…damn I would be all over this extra expansion packs and all. Then I read I could probably get it to work in Superior 2,,,but wow do the stock sounds suck. Because Im new to VSTis to start I don’t want to shell out almost $300 to start…Id have to buy SD2 then a pack like New York vol 3 or EZ drummer 2..I guess Ill have to keep looking. Its too bad you guys dont offer a midi learn on this or 2 or 3 yamaha versions. Id even pay for it a few bucks for an extra update or something. Now I guess its gonna have to be BFD and I hate their GUI..its too complex..Thanks for your help John. email me if you guys do some sorta upgrade.
