Problem solved on my end. It was, indeed, self-inflicted. I maxed out the buffer to 4096 samples thinking I’d be saving some CPU power (?), but ezdrummer apparently did not like that at all. I reduced it to 512 samples and everything is fine. YMMV. I’ll see myself out…

I’m gonna jump into this thread because I just started having this problem today. When I playback my DAW all audio from the ezdrummer2 plugin plays as expected. But, when I open up the plugin to audition midi parts in the browser window I constantly get the audio device error and audio cuts out. The error does not stay lit up, it just flashes on and off randomly.  This does not seem to happen at all in the search window.

I’m running Studio One 4.5.1 and macOS 10.14.5 on a 2019 MacBook Pro with an Audient iD22 interface. The iD22 is new  and I just installed the mixer software today. That could be one factor…perhaps I touched a setting I shouldn’t have when setting up the device in S1?  I’ve never had a problem on my previous interfaces (Presonus, UAD).
