  • I also get random sustain issues on projects imported from EZK1

We’ll look into this. Would you mind uploading an EZK1 project that causes this issue when imported into EZK2?

here is a short video of the issue: Flashback – Jun 6, 2023 #1 – YouTube

Thanks! I’ll add this to our to-do-list.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your question!

I’m not exactly sure what you mean by “EZkeys V1 and V2 do not recognize these properly”. Are you asking for a way to automatically batch cut the clips so that the first note of each clip is placed at the beginning of bar 1?

What 3rd party MIDI libraries are you using?

We apologize for the delay in responding to your post. If you’re looking to get in touch with our support team as quickly as possible, I would highly recommend using our contact support form. The “contact support” button can be found at the bottom of each FAQ answer.

    Sincerely,

I imported an audio guitar track  in a kind of folk style to the bandmate of EZKeys2 , and no fitting groove was found.

    Hi!

I can reproduce this issue using the file that you uploaded as well. We’ll look into it.

Meanwhile, if you cut the silence from the beginning of the file (so that the waveform starts at bar 1) it seems to work just fine.

As far as I understand, you want to drag and drop MIDI/chords from Bandmate to the Song Track (timeline) without transposing the MIDI/chords, right? To achieve this you have to do one of the following:

    • Make sure the Key Signature in Bandmate matches the Key Signature of the Song Track, or
    • Make sure the Song Track is empty before you drag and drop MIDI from Bandmate.

If the Song Track (timeline) is empty when you drag MIDI there, the Song Track will adjust to the key of the MIDI.

If the Song Track is already populated when you drag MIDI there, the key of the Song Track won’t change. Instead the MIDI that you drag to the Song Track will be transposed to match the key of the Song Track.

Just wanted to thank all the people who worked on EZ Keys 2 . I have worked with EZ Keys for eight years and with several other midi programs and DAWs since 2000 . This program is amazing , I have only worked with EZ Keys for a few hours today and already it is more than I had hoped for . This is a home run guys and you should be very proud of your work . Again thank you all so very much .I have been a musician for 50 years played brass , bass , sang and written many songs but today has been the most fun I’ve had with music in a long long time .

Thank you for your feedback! Happy to hear that you liked it!

In the previous version, when importing multitrack midi files we had the option to import specific tracks instead of the whole file, I can’t find a way to do this in EZK2, is this still supported?

This is currently not supported, but I’ve added it to our list of feature requests. Thanks for your feedback!

    1. Click the Swing/Triplets filter to disable it
    2. Make sure the actual song starts at the beginning of bar 1
    3. Select a fitting drum groove
