Quick update, I found a much quicker workaround, for anybody experiencing a similar issue:
Finish your patterns in the song overview.
Instead of dragging & dropping into the DAW, save every pattern (like verse and chorus) in EZ-Keys by dragging & dropping it to the very left of the midi browser (below favourites).
The saved patterns can now be inserted into the DAW without any issues (at least in Bitwig).
