one last thing I noticed – if you use eDrum midi to create a custom midi assignment layout, the popup window populates with the custom assignments. Better than a PDF of only the factory defaults in my mind.

not sure if this is from a new update, but I see the mappings in EZD3, just not in the same place. It actually seems better to me.
Select an instrument, right-click, and select “show midi mapping layout”. Even better, at the top of the resulting popup window, select the instrument pulldown, and check “highlight played instrument”. There’s also an option to print the layout. If you change to a different library, the popup changes automatically
