Brad,
Thanks so much for the reply and help. I was able to mask the correct note numbers to the triggers successfully. Still a little confused as to the Rim-shots, but for now, at least it is communicating the trigger correctly. I sincerely appreciate the help!

Thanked by: BradThanks for the reply…
I am using the New York SDX with the Allaire default kit. I have swapped out the kick for New York Avatar 14×24″ GMS with the learn function successfully. The default kit only has 3 toms, so I’ve added an additional instrument (10×12″ ludwig 1962) and am able to “learn” the center hit successfully. When I click on any of the toms and go to the Midi Mapping, it has three different trigger numbers for each tom (Center, rimshot and rim only) with corresponding numbers to map. When I try to “learn” the rim only, I can assign it ok, but the volume of the rim is really low no matter what velocity I strike the pad. I’m not sure how to successfully learn the “rimshot” mapping, or if it’s even possible. The rimshot should be when I strike the rim and head at the same time, but the learn function either gives me rim or center numbers when striking (trying to strike both at the same time). When I play the Roland internal sounds, I am able to get all three trigger positions. I realise that tom rims and rimshots are very rarely needed, but am trying to make the experience as real as possible (being a drummer).
Thanks in advance for any help or insight!
