Apologies for resurrecting an old thread, but just want to confirm that the best way to remove sound libraries — core or SDXs — from Superior 3 is the just delete the .obw files? I’m fine with this method, just seems surprisingly amateur for Toontrack. I saw an option to remove the library path in the app, but I assume that doesn’t uninstall the libraries.

Along the same lines, two other questions:

~ Is there a way to set a new default kit if I delete/uninstall the core S3 library?
~ And is there a way to keep the MIDI files from an EZX/SDX while uninstalling the sound library?

@John, followed your instructions but no luck. Screen attached. Any other suggestions? I hope future updates (or Superior 3) might have a more flexible/intuitive MIDI management system…MIDI_folder_2.PNG

Sure. I assume you want a screen of the actual folder in Windows Explorer, as opposed to the browser in EZD2, correct?

@John – No. Tried it twice and no luck.

Related question: So are you able to update/arrange things in the EZD2 midi browser at all? I have the orange “Ezdrummer Libraries” title listed twice and all of my 3rd party files like GrooveMonkee show up under “EZX Libraries,” which is kind of annoying. Any way to get in there and clean this up?

Ok. A screen shot of the kit or the mixer — does it matter?

    Excellent. Thanks much, Scott.

So are the grooves in the SDX and EZX the same? Basically, I’m wondering if it would be redundant to get the Progressive EZX and the Progressive midi pack…?

Hey, billybk1 — any plans to do the same for Superior 2.0? (not that you haven’t done enough already)

Slightly OT:  I *love* the idea behind Jamstix, and even requested something similar for EZD/Superior, but I tried the demo version and found it incredibly unintuitive.  It’s great that they give you so much flexibility/control over the variations, but it’d be even better if they had an ‘EZ’ option with just one or two sliders (like a “Subtle vs Drastic” or something) and just let you cycle through different variations.

I suppose I should be posting that on the Jamstix board, but I saw mention of it here and must’ve blacked out for a second…
