Thanks a ton. I don’t think there is any problem other than my user errors. I did expect software and module work and I was making progress here and there, but then I would make a mistake and not properly save my progress. I downloaded MDPTK? and Traction as my DAW, with Traction being another VST? This stuff can easily get over my head. I am 68 and way behind the needed curve for this much indepth stuff which is second nature to so many. Superior D3 won’t cost that much, esp. with the discount you give for having bought EZD2. Thanks a ton for helping me out this Christmas Eve!

    Merry Christmas,

    Nick Goddin

So Justin, 65 Drummer, reviewed and played my kit, then said “but why settle for these sounds when you can you can use EZ Drummer 2 or (named one or two similar products) and be able to play like this.” And he then played the kit sounding much better….actually in this case the kit really didn’t sound much, if any better, but I am sure that Justin had the kit tweaked really well on its own. This was kind of interesting, but I don’t have Justin’s abilities and in watching many other tutorials I have seen guys making the Simmons and many many other kits sound so much better using EZD2. Also coinsidentily, I have seen a couple of videos that made Superior Drummer 3 appear to be able to make kits sound so much better as simply as I was hoping. If this is indeed the case I will gladly buy SD3 and be able to conquer step one, because it is no fun, and makes me not even want to play much with the crappy sounds I am getting……I believe this Simmons Module is pretty good, but honestly don’t know its capabilities, in watching some other EZD2 tutorials guys are explaining the process of midi mapping pad by pad on various kits, and I am so tired of playing with the software to that degree right now……..

I bought this kit really hoping for one good sounding, as close to a good acoustic rock kit as I could get for $1,000. With my previous electric kits that’s all I played, their best sounding acoustic kit, and never played any of the other stuff at all.
