I use a Mac with a Magic Mouse, and while I figured this out by accident, I LOVE how in EZKeys, if my pointer is hovered over the MIDI blocks inside EZKeys, zoom in/out works just by me moving my finger up and down on the Magic Mouse.
This behavior is not the same inside SD3. I would love to have the option to do this, as it’s been a super-increase in efficiency to my workflow inside EZKeys. Any chance this could be added in a future version?
Thanks.
SD3 is another story, since it has many more areas where scrolling is included. If you scroll in the Grid Editor, it will scroll vertically – up or down. You need to press a modifier key on your keyboard to make zoom, another modifier key to make it scroll sideways etc. To be consistent throughout the software, regarding on how the scrolls work, we have the same modifier keys on the song track to zoom using a mouse wheel (same as moving the fingers up/down on a magic mouse).
We knew that some users would find it better to have it exactly as in EZkeys, but this time we went with the path to keep consistency.
