Hi,
I could not find it anywhere else.
When I use the library to paste a simple chord with a removed 3rd, it still plays/paste a Major chord
i.e.
I want C+G, but I get C+E+G
After you have selected the desired chord, and it appears on the song track, left-click on the chord name that appears above the blue rectangle in the song track. This will reveal the chord selector that displays as the circle of 5ths. At the top of the circle you will see a tab in the center labeled “Detail”. Clicking on “Details” reveals the chord members of the selected chord. Here you can deselect the 3rd or any other member of the chord to achieve the “C+G ” you are looking for.
First of all, thank you for trying to help me.
I did it exactly like you have written.
It still sounds like a major chord. I see the notes in the song track still looking like the ones from the major chord. When I drag and drop it to the midi track in my DAW, there are the notes of the major chord in the media item.
This way…a minor chord actually changes to a major chord, by deselecting the 3rd.
I could make screen video, if it helps.
That’s very odd – there must be something else going on. This works perfectly on my Mac. Sounds like some of the code is hung. I would suggest a complete uninstall/reinstall, and definitely reboot your machine.
That fixed it. Thank you!
Can I mark the topic as solved somehow?
Really glad I could be of some help. I know how frustrating that kind of stuff can be.
