I would like to assign the separate drum channels to individual outputs so I can use effects and eq on them individually from my DAW plugins. In the EZ drum mixer the default output is to “output 1.” And I see there is a multichannel option in the drop down window, but how can I assign each channel to a different track?
Rob, I don’t use Digital Performer. But in a DAW, you have to set up a new Auxiliary channel for each output of EZD2. For me in Pro Tools, I now go to each new Auxiliary channel’s input, and see the outputs of my active plugin’s in which I’d select the appropriate one from EZD2.
In Digital Performer there’s a term or something called Bundles you should research if you’re not familiar.
Hopefully that’s enough to get you in the right direction, I don’t have Digital Performer to figure it out.

Thanked by: Rob BocchinoIt is pretty straightforward. A basic setup would be an output for the bass drum, an output for the snare, and an output for the rest of the kit. Create three stereo aux sends. I have a basic template in DP that assigns ez drummer to bus 9/10 for a drum submix by default. This is an extra step, but it works for me as I create vocal submix, bass submix, and music submix to make global mixing adjustments quickly. In EZdrummer, under the mixer subwindow, choose multiple outputs. By default, it routes a common multi-output setup. A bit too much for my basic, so I select all the drums and assign them to bus 9/10, which feeds my drum submix. . Then, in ezdrummer window, I individually select the bass drum and assign it to output 3/4 and the snare output 5/6.
Then back in DP’s track window, I add three aux tracks. In their input, I select the corresponding ezdrummer outputs. Aux1 gets the global ezdrummer via bus 9/10, Aux2 gets ezdrummer 3/4, and Aux 3 gets ezdrummer 5/6.
It sounds complicated as I read over my notes, but it started by creating the mix subgroups, then realizing I wanted more control over certain ezdrummer instruments.
I hope this helps in getting a grasp of the routing within DP.
