So i have been using SD2 for a while now and i am in the middle of producing 2 albums… I have programed all the grooves myself and obviously everything plays back fine in SD2… I have just purchased SD3 and have a question about these grooves… I would rather not have to have SD2 and SD3 installed at the same time and would prefer only to have SD3… Would these midi tracks/grooves play back accurately in SD3…? I know the sounds will be different but as long as i am ok with that will everything else translate over ok…?
If not its not the end of the world as i can just keep SD2 installed for these projects and use SD3 for all future ones, but i like to keep things neat and tidy and only like to have the things installed i really need to…lol
Thanks for any info/help…

Considering that all of the SDXs made around the SD2 work seamlessly, I can’t imagine that you will have any real issues. You may have corner cases, but you can fix those with your own MIDI mapping in the MIDI/e-drum Settings, which is really that daunting.
