Hello guys,
I know that Toontrack no longer sells EZD1 to EZD2 upgrades but there are still some retailers out there who have them in stock. My question is: if I buy such an upgrade now will it work? Or are those “upgrade” serial numbers somehow not valid anymore?
Kind regards,
Piotrekk
As long as you have the EZD1 serial number registered to your account, you should be able to register the EZD2 upgrade.

Hopefully I can add another question here. I’ve just purchased one of those EZ Drummer 2 upgrades (informed by the retailer that still valid). My question, I am just about to get a brand new studio PC. Do I need to reinstall EX Drummer 1 then run the upgrade to EZ Drummer 2? Or is my ‘upgrade’ purely a discounted purchase of EZ Drummer 2? i.e. does the upgrade pack look for version one on my PC?
Thanks

EZD1 does not need to be installed or exist anywhere on your system to enable your EZDrummer2 installation.
Though you will have to install the EZD1 libraries.
