We already have it! Why do I need a damn logo to remind me. Tell your marketing people to F*** O** and fix the crap they have caused. You have once again broken a working product because of madness. Every time I load my stuff the drums don’t work until I go into SD3. Are you actually adults!

Wrong. It DOES add extra time to the work flow. Its terrible. THis is a “fast workflow” issue that some will not understand. The plug in take up to 10 seconds to get rid of the splash screen. During that time ( before the useless splash screen) I could select a window, see what drums are up, start browsing drums sets, MANY MANY other option that dont require the full sample loaded state. ITs adding precious seconds to a once quick mixing and creation operation. Get rid of it, its terrible!

yes, many people see the problem. Its a horrible “feature” that is screwing up my workflow. Its a step backwards for those who work fast. IF you are not noticing the issue, then dont chime in. It a complete backwards step.

The time from when the window appears until when you can do things in it has increased, sure, but now the window appears immediately. Before, when you asked the DAW to open the plug window, it took a long time for the window to appear (the same duration that the splash screen is visible now). So the total time from when you try to open the window until you can do things in it is the same. The splash goes away immediately when the real GUI is ready to be shown, it does not wait for the loading of the samples to finish.

I know you cite some supposed reasons for doing the logo thing but I have to agree with others that it’s annoying. Especially when you switch sessions. It’s a blatant advertising thing. I know of no other plugin that does this. Now to the stability thing that’s something I’ve not seen.

Yes. however, it does add time. Before when i opened the plug in it took a few milliseconds to be able to make a move. Thats how long it took to be ready after first clicking on the plug in. Now there is ADDED time, not just the time it took without the splash screen. IT really isnt the biggest flaw in the world, its just very annoying and reflects the realities that the designers are not nearly as proficient with SD3 as some users. Its a typical DAW design issue: some engineer says ” hey i have an idea” and that person does not make a living using it in the professional recording industry. I love this software, I think SD3 still hasnt reached its full popularity. ITs an incredible piece of software. We just need faster user to engineer communication.
I use SD3 for recording 99% of the time. Many here on this forum are using it as a E drums sound machine. Those features mean very little to me. I wish they would focus marketing on the professional recording aspects more than the ” dude who wants to play his e drums and get cool sounds” aspect. Not saying anything is wrong with that. I feel like the product is underserved in its marketing. We need less “AI” crap, neato graphics and more control and better reliability.

Thanked by: ElMojowhen the splash screen is done displaying the full sample set is fully loaded. before it would open much faster and the loading would occur. It is not true that it takes the same tim for the splash screen to go away as it used to simply open the windo. This is absolutley not the cse on my system I have a super fast Mac Studio and tones of ram, all setting are optimized. I have been using SD3 for years.. IT IS NOT THE SAME AMOUNT OF TIME!

Thanked by: drumjack52Even if the time it used to take to open the plug in is the same ( which IT IS NOT) you are still frozen while you stare at the stupid SPLASH SCREEN. FIX THIS

Thanked by: drumjack52The splash screen on mine is barely a second. Something odd is happening with some users

You may not have selected the preference option to load all sounds at launch. You may have it set to just open and then load samples when they are triggered. Which I may go back to considering this new bug.

That might be it. I have my all my samples on an internal ssd that’s separate from everything else and it takes almost 10 seconds for the nag screen to go away.

Sorry, not so!
Logo appears for 3 seconds on my trashcan and another 7 seconds fully loading a 10GB preset.
Your system needs optimization.
jord
Nope. 7 seconds is almost exactly how long my takes as well.
We seem to have some confusion about what we’re talking about.
I’m using a brand spanking new mac studio where all other operations are extremely fast.
Mac Studio
You seem to be missing the point.
before the splash screen fiasco update the load up was almost instant. After changing NOTHING else , the wait time is 8 seconds. What else could the be creating the issue?
Maybe on perfectly optimized, m1 machines , the software has an issue.
Mac Studio
Terrible design. Its just a error in design. This will be fixed soon I’m sure.
Mac Studio
You’ll be far better off when you quit blaming Toontrack and take care of what’s holding it back on your own computer.
It’s not “the design” that is a problem.
