We already have it! Why do I need a damn logo to remind me. Tell your marketing people to F*** O** and fix the crap they have caused. You have once again broken a working product because of madness. Every time I load my stuff the drums don’t work until I go into SD3. Are you actually adults!

Drumjack52 … Cubase 12 Pro has a dynamic processing and it is off. It was off on 3.3.1 and nothing has changed other than the SD3 update to 3.3.2. It is the exact same Cubase 12 Pro version 12.0.30. I am confident that the issue is the nag/splash screen. When I click on SD3 plugin inside Cubase the nag screen is all I get. I then click on it and it loads everthing in a slit second. Everyhting then works as it should. The most recent update to my system was UAD 10.1. for apollo and satelite DSPs. Which worked perfectly with the previous version of SD3. There is simply no other change apart from SD3.

Can’t be the splash screen as no one else is having your issue. Period.
Maybe ask over on Gearspace.

Why would I ask Gearspace? It is a Toontrack issue. Caused by Toontrack. It will be interesting to see if more people add to this post.
No issue here with Windows 7, Cubase 9.5, and S3.3.2.
Open Cubase
Open project that has S3.
It opens and I wait a few seconds for some samples to load. Hit play in Cubase and drums play.

I have tried the latest version of Cubase 11 Pro also. That has the exact same problem. I have EzBass and EzKeys in the same project and they a working perfectly! As did SD3 before the update. Nothing actually loads until I go in and hit the nag screen. It is nagging me now! I think you will get more on this issue in the coming weeks. I got rid of Pro Tools a couple of months ago because they would not listen to their customers. Which annoyed me. Changed back to Cubase and I am happier for it! I don’t think SD3 will survive to the end of the week. I think I will give it a day or two more and bin it if something is not sorted out about the nag screen. I don’t do annoying anymore. I pay my money and expect it to work!

Not sure what can be done in a day or 2 as has been pointed out, you are the only report of such an issue.
If others have issues and are reported here, and a common thread (system, OS, DAW, et al) can be located, I’m sure there can be a solution.

I have tested SD3 in the latest version Calkwalk and it works perfectly. That would point to the fact Cubase 11 and 12 have HiDPI and scaling. Which along with the nag screen are mentioned in the release notes. I don’t think that is a random coincidence. I can’t remember if Cubase 9.5 has those features. As I said before a splash/nag screen without a timer as back up is a bad idea. The splash screen on the standalone makes perfect sense. Who else has a splash screen on a plugin? SD3 3.3.2 is not getting past the nag screen. As it works in Calkwalk which is has minimal scaling and dpi adjustment, would add a little to that fact. As Steinberg create the VST3 standards and SDK. It would be reasonable to expect them to get it right in Cubase.
Above users Daron and Mark King are both on Windows 11 machines with Cubase 11/12 are are both reporting no issues.

Thanked by: ElMojoOk thank you. I will change over to MPC Beats until this issue is fixed. I am confident that my system is good and it worked before. After 35+ years developing firmware I don’t open a problem report unless I am sure about it. There must be a setting in Cubase that is causing my installation to exhibit this issue.

I said to ask at Gearspace as someone there might be experiencing the same problem. This forum is not the only forum you’ll find people talking about SD3. For instance I first learned of Superior Drummer over on the DUC which is the Avid PT forum. Also got a lot of advice over there. A developer’s forum is not the only place a developer’s product is discussed.

Thanked by: ElMojoSD3 PLUGIN (LATEST UPDATE) IN CUBASE – PLAY/MIXDOWN UNSTABLE
I see another Cubase 12 user has the same problem. Are you sure the people who tested this are on the very latest versions of everyhting. I have moved back to the previous version of SD3 and it is working perfectly. I have had this happen before with you guys. I had to wait until more people found the issue. Before you actually saw it and fixed it!

Now you’re talking about a stability problem? And you’ve found only one other user with the issue? That’s a completely different issue than what you started this thread on. This isn’t good form and you might want to start another thread rather than to piggyback onto this one.
That being said: keep in mind that not everyone in the public beta test pool or even Toontrack’s testers are on the latest version of anything/everything. Once one has a stable system one doesn’t mess around with it. There’s something to be said about not living on the bleeding edge – you’re doomed to get cut by it.

No I don’t think so. I said that SD3 fails to start when I press play. Then until I go into the plugin it will not start. Which bit of that is misleading. If you don’t go in and get rid of the nag/splash screen. It will not start until a few bars in. You have the cheek to say my account was not accurate. I can go further and say your problem is that because you have introduced another useless Window. Messages to that Window are not getting filtered correctly and are lost by the main plugin. This causes undefined results when the plugin is not accessed as I do. Plus I always develop plugins in the latest version of Cubase. How could this get past your developers never mind your testers.

I say again – the issue you are having is NOT a stability issue. Stability would be that it’s working and then it goes crazy for some reason. Not starting is not stability. That’s something else. Just because you work on the latest version of a daw doesn’t mean that everyone else does. Development systems users/operators don’t always work on the bleeding edge. Face it – there’s something strange going on with your system that other people (save for one other person), including the developers themselves are not seeing the non-start issue supposedly caused by the nag screen.
Maybe you should get on the beta test team since you’re such a fountain of expertise?

I agree about getting a few cuts on the leading edge. Put I always stay there and it works for me generally. Plus I kike you Drumjack52.
