The known issues or FAQs links don’t work. I’m having issues were the sound stops working in the middle of a project and I have to remove and reinsert Beatstation into Live for it to work again. And the other thing that happens is that sometimes none of the words show up in Beatstation when I open it and I have to close and restart Live or my whole computer to get them back…I’m reinstalling and hoping that will help! I really love Beatstation when it works (since I own EZ and Superior and many expansion packs) and would love to have these issues fixed, thanks!
OK, I uninstalled, reinstalled and within 5 minutes the sound stopped working again. Also weird that I unauthorized Beatstation on my computer before doing all this and didn’t need to reauthorize to use the reinstalled one. Does anyone else have the sound not working or words not showing up in the plug-in? This happens on both my Mac laptop (Snow Leopard) and desktop (Lion).

JohnHi,
haven’t seen this on my Snow Leopard and Lion Macs nor have I seen any similar reports. I haven’t used Live, though. Will try it and see what happens.
You don’t have any trouble using Beatstation standalone?

Hi John,
I’ve never used it in standalone. The no text thing usually only happens when the project is getting pretty big. It didn’t start happening until about the end of my 3rd full song. The sound stopping seems to only happen when I’m tweaking the midi notes in Live and then playing back on Beatstation. I bet it would work fine in standalone but I make my own beats and need it as a plug-in.
Yesterday, after I was finished adjusting the midi notes and moved on, Beatstation worked fine for the rest of the time. Sometimes the sound or text just don’t get routed correctly, so weird! All my other plug-ins work fine. Thanks for your help!

MartinI believe the no-text error happens if you have Beatstation running in two hosts simultaneously, or in two or more Ableton sessions (if you can have multiple sessions opened at the same time, I’m no expert at Ableton so I don’t know).

I don’t do that, but I re-loaded Beatstation again and re-authorized and haven’t had that problem again yet. Still having the problem with sound cutting out when I’m moving MIDI notes around in Ableton though. When I hear a pop while I’m working with the MIDI, that’s when I know it happened again and I just have to reload the drum set for the sound to start working again… Just wish it would work right, Oh well.
