I am using a Yamaha DTX562k drum kit with Alternate Mode’s DITI trigger box and the Alternate Mode eHat hi hat controller. I am not using the Yamaha module (the USB port on the module is broken).
I am having some peculiar behavior and I believe it’s related to the MIDI Mapping settings.
Which profile would make the most sense?
When I set it to Yamaha, the HiHat sends a closed note even when it’s open. When I change the MIDI Mapping to KAT K4, the hihat works great but other triggers don’t work. For instance, incoming MIDI notes are getting forwarded to another note (there is a small arrow next to the MIDI IN on the Articulations screen of the kit). I can only imagine that this is related to the MIDI Mapping settings.
What else would cause that arrow that shows an incoming note being sent somewhere else?
Thanks,
Eric
