Hi.
So, I’ve bought your shitty fucking program today and – so far have tried to get it going for 10+ hours. Here’s what happened:
I downloaded the “manager” which promises to make my life easier. Sure!
I downloaded all the required files and started the installation. No problem so far.
I try to install it and it prompts to save in its default Cubase VST directory. I do that.
I try to start it as the solo version. Works fine.
I try to start it in Cubase – nothing happens. And, yes – I know the difference between my Cubase VST-folders.
I try to search through the forums, google and youtube. Nothing helps.
I download all the updates, the 32 bit version as well and the free expansion and install all of them too, incase an update would make it work better. Nothing works.
I try to uninstall through the “manager” so that I can reinstall, in case somethings faulty. Says it’s going fine.
Downloading all files again and start installing. This time it says there’s still a directory on my computer and wants to install in that one, instead of creating a new. Sure, what can go wrong?
After installing again I get a button saying I can “save space by deleting unused files”. Sure, why not? I press it and suddenly everything Ive installed is gone. Wooptee-fucking-doo. I also don’t get any shortcuts for the manager or the solo version, even tho the installer says it creates them.
I delete the manager and repeat everything mentioned above for the third time and behold – nothing happens this time either.
I uninstall again and try to delete every mention of “ezdrummer” or “toontrack” on my harddrive manually but, no surprises here, that doesnt work either. Some files refuse to get deleted. So I try a restart as well as cleaning with CCleaner.
I install again and get greeted by the same “you still have a fucking directory on your computer, I’ll install everything here as before – regardless of what you want”.
This time the install can’t even finalize properly because it says there are directories for all the expansions (of which I have downloaded only the “free one” I got to choose) present, but the installer cannot find them or install anything beyond this point.
Seriously, what the fuck is this mess you have created?
You have one week to fix this bullshit for me or I’d like a full refund (just in case you are too brainless to understand how a refund works: you give me back the same amount of money, the same way it came in – without adding any kind of extra problems, fees or other bullshit). And don’t fucking ask me for print screens or print-out of computer specs. Everything you need to know is in the text above.
Thanks for wasting my sunday.
To the Toontrack support group. I don’t normally respond to stuff like this but………………
I have been using Toontrack EX drummer and Superior drummer for over 10 years and am a Cubase Pro user and Studio one user using both Windows 10 and more recently Mac Mojave. I have NEVER had any issues that would cause this type of rant and horrible language used by this customer. I find it totally out of line as I am sure other users do as well. My suggestion to the Toontrack folks is to delete this posting and give this user his money back and forever ban him/her from using this site again. Others may disagree.
To the user, Toontrack products are not that hard to use. If the support group answers your questions and you follow their instructions you will find out how simple the products are to use and hopefully regret posting this type of rant. The problem is not Toontrack, the problem is you!

Thanked by: Trevor Cartwright, MrFun61 and Scott.HoggAnd finally it’s usable. After another 7 hours of problem solving. Good job on this, Toontrack!
And thanks for all the useful “feedback”. LOL at the elitist fancy-pants! Respect is earned. Not automatically received cause you think you deserve it. Expensive and faulty product = angry customer.
And just for the record, the problem was indeed Toontrack (and not me). But it wasn’t just the installer, which made it harder to fix.
Time to relax and enjoy the remaining sunday.

If respect is earned, disrespect is also earned. No one on this forum earned the type of disrespect on display in your first post.
Having said that, I’m glad you got sorted out. Rock on.

Thanked by: Trevor CartwrightScott, can you please remove this entire post so as not to encourage anyone else to behave in such a childish and disrespectful manor? This blogger clearly thinks cursing somehow improves the message of frustration from a lack of experience and further demonstrates an impoverished sense of kindness and respect towards all others here.
